Fence posts are loose.
Most fence posts need to be placed deep underground — or secured in a layer of concrete — in order to stand up in Florida’s sandy ground. If you are able to move your fence posts even a little bit, it’s likely they won’t stand up to years of wear and tear. Typically this is caused by a lack of experience on the contractor’s part but can be remedied with a more secure installation.
Fence posts are uneven.
Much of what goes into fencing installation is ensuring everything is lined up and symmetrical. Your fencing contractor should take careful measurements to ensure the fence is perfectly even at the top edges. If it isn’t your contractor may have been trying to speed through the job in order to move on. Sometimes this can be fixed, but it is typically a sign of a poor fencing installation.
Nails or screws are sticking out.
This is not only a sign of lazy construction but can be hazardous to children and pets at play in your yard. If a nail or screw is sticking out, it will likely fall out and leave a rusty hazard in your yard. Luckily, this is a problem you or your FloriFence team can easily repair.
Fences get caught in the dirt or are difficult to open.
Your fencing contractor should think ahead about gate design for your fencing. Ideally, they will level the ground surrounding it to ensure it is easy to open. The fence leans to one side.
A newly installed fence should never lean to one side. If yours does, it is a sure sign your contractor was inexperienced. Sometimes this can be fixed, while other times it will require parts of the fencing to be replaced.
